IT SYSTEMS ENGINEER IIJOB DESCRIPTION – APPSTERSWorld Fuel is a global energy management and solutions provider delivering fuel, logistics, and sustainability services across aviation, marine, and land transportation markets. About Our TeamThe low-code squad, known as the “Appsters,” serves as the steward and governance body for our enterprise low-code platforms. We are responsible for maintaining the health, stability, and evolution of platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, N8N, Quickbase, and ABBYY.

Our team manages environments, upgrades, standards, and documentation, while providing guidance and support to ensure consistent and scalable adoption. Specific Skills & Knowledge Required:Strong understanding of enterprise platform architecture and governance modelsKnowledge of SharePoint structure and design principles, including content organization and lifecycle considerationsUnderstanding of application, data, and integration patterns in modern digital solutionsFamiliarity with automation frameworks and reusable design approachesKnowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts, including versioning, testing strategies, and release managementUnderstanding of security, compliance, and access control principles within enterprise platformsAbility to interpret and apply technical standards, documentation practices, and design guidelinesAwareness of emerging technologies, including AI capabilities within enterprise platforms, and their impact on solution designGeographic Scope & Travel Requirements:Role based in San José, Costa RicaRequires collaboration with globally distributed teams across multiple time zonesOccasional travel may be required for training, workshops, or cross-team collaborationKey Performance Measures:Consistent delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutionsEffective enforcement and continuous improvement of platform governance and standardsReduction of incidents through proactive monitoring, root cause analysis, and automationPositive feedback from stakeholders on solution quality, collaboration, and supportContribution to platform adoption, innovation, and AI-enabled improvementsContinuous learning and application of emerging technologies and best practices IT SYSTEMS ENGINEER IIJOB DESCRIPTION – APPSTERSWorld Fuel is a global energy management and solutions provider delivering fuel, logistics, and sustainability services across aviation, marine, and land transportation markets.
